FAQ
How long is the typical application process?
The typical application process is dependent on each applicant and which degree they are pursuing.
How do I estimate the cost in my countries currency?
A detailed answer to provide information about your business, build trust with potential clients, and help convince the visitor that you are a good fit for them.
I see statements about another university you are working with, what does that mean?
Through our partnership with Kairos University, SALT offers accredited Kairos University degrees. Kairos University is accredited by the regional Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and the Commission on Accreditation of the national Association of Theological Schools (ATS). For more information on KU’s accreditation go to https://kairos.edu/about/accreditation/
What is the difference between a Masters (MA) and Bachelors - Masters (BA/MA) Degree?
SALT offers both a Masters (MA) and a Bachelors Masters (BA/MA) to equip their students with a masters degree. The difference is based off of what you currently hold in your education journey. As well, the BA/MA takes more time to do than the MA, since you are going through the SALT program to receive a degree in both a bachelors and masters. As it relates to the competencies (metric SALT uses to move you through your degree) that you are required to have before graduating, read more below to see which degree you would start with:
Our curriculum involves several designated character outcomes with their related competencies and Learning Experiences (LEs). The LEs help students develop, defend, and dissect the related competencies. Some competencies may be deemed already complete based on a student’s previous vocational and life life and vocational experience. When they are, a student is able to complete the program more rapidly and with less cost.
How long does a typical Masters (MA) or Bachelors Masters (BA/MA) course take to complete?
Graduation occurs when a student has completed all of the following required curriculum components and has been assessed as competent in the required competencies:
- Completing Starting Well (common to all degree programs)
- Completing all required Character Outcomes for the degree program
- Continuing Well (common to all degree programs)
For more information, please go to the Masters Information Page located in the footer.
What is a typical timeline that it takes an individual to complete the doctorate program(s)?
Graduation occurs when a student has completed all of the following required curriculum components and has been assessed as competent in the required competencies:

What should I expect from personnel in contacting me during the application and admissions process?
Once SALT receives a new application, we will send an acknowledgement that the application has been received. Once the Registrar’s Office has received all of the other documents, we will generally inform you of the admissions decision and next steps within two weeks. In addition to the application, the required documents include a resume, relevant transcripts, and two references (one a pastoral reference and the other from someone who knows you well). If you haven’t received any further information from the Registrar’s Office 2-3 weeks after receiving the first notification that your application has been received, please send an email of inquiry to registrar@ilc.global.
How do I take what I am learning at SALT to continue pursuing the Great Commission in my life?
The School of Applied Leadership for Transformation (SALT) is committed to developing Christian leaders for transformational impact. We provide personalized, holistic, cost-effective, and competency-based theological education (CBTE) for those equipping for various ministries. Through a journey of mentorship, our graduates have acquired content, perfected craft, and cultivated godly character for Kingdom work.
Students are able to take what they are learning here and apply it to their life through benefitting their personal life, vocation, and family. We come alongside them and support them in a Biblical manner to have this applied to each area of their life.
This is done through working on projects that require them to apply the acquired knowledge and skills, which in turn help them develop their vocational craft and character. Along the way, students interact regularly with the three mentors in their Mentor Team (MT) and receive peer-to-peer mentoring from other students who help each other develop the related content, character, and craft proficiencies.
As we are taking a look at the global church:
Recent studies show that the global church is growing at a pace that is faster than the world population. As a part of that, there are areas in the body of Jesus Christ that are under equipped to carry out the Great Commission. SALT is built in order to come and meet you right where you are, as you are, in order to press on until everyone in the world is in relationship with someone who is walking with Jesus Christ. Come and join us as we pursue this mission, we are better because of you!
